We give thanks for the youth among us and encourage their growth in the faith as we go forward together in God’s grace. We have opportunities for older youth (high school and middle school) to gather together and develop friendships in the faith. We also have opportunities for our children to grow in the faith through Sunday school and confirmation classes. We hope you will grow with us and we rejoice in our God and the life He gives!

Youth Group

Our middle and high school youth meet Sundays at 4:30pm. Our time together involves an activity/game, devotional time, and a meal. The meal begins at about 6:00pm and we generally get done by about 6:45pm. If you have any questions or are interested in participating, please contact Pastor Michael for current plans as we do adjust the schedule occasionally.

Confirmation Classes

Our confirmation classes seek to help our youth grow in the faith culminating in their confession of the faith into which they were baptized. If the youth has not been baptized, the classes culminate in the gift of baptism. Our classes spend a year in the Scriptures developing a basic understanding of the foundation for our faith; a half year with an overview of the Scriptures (packaged a little differently); and a year and a half considering the basics of the faith as condensed in Luther’s Small Catechism. Time depends on participants’ schedules. This year we are meeting on Wednesdays at 5:30pm. If you are interested, please contact Pastor Michael so that you can be included in the planning.

Sunday School

Sunday mornings we take time to grow in the Word. As we do so, it is important for our children also to grow in their understanding of the basic teachings and accounts of the Scriptures. As such, we work to provide Sunday school opportunities that parallel our Sunday morning Bible study time frame. If you are interesting in having your child participate in Sunday school, please contact Pastor Michael so we can work out the details and ensure that your child grows in the joy of Christ’s victory as well.
